This blue heron stood on the boat launch dock at Front Street Park in Melbourne, FL bright and early in the morning a few weeks ago…he was looking for his breakfast, and I was looking at him, silhouetted by the orange glow of the sunrise over the Indian River.

Oh, interesting! I haven’t seen a blue heron yet. I don’t know if it ever exists in my side of the world.
Thank you! I have only lived in Florida for a few years; I had never seen a blue heron in New York where I am from, but they are very common here…very beautiful to watch, too
They seem to favor places with lots of water…
So good
Thank you very much!
Beautiful shot and a beautiful animal!
Thank you very much…and yes, they are beautiful, aren’t they? There is so much beautiful wildlife here in Florida
Excellent picture!
Perfect composition and the lighting is stunning… I also like the blury background which makes the bird a masterpiece!
Love it!!!
